Assignment for my Design for Animators class
For this project, we were given the task of creating a vehicle for land, water, or air exploration. I decided to make a vehicle for underwater exploration, as I find it interesting how much of our ocean cannot be explored due to the pressure and freezing temperatures.
While I went for a more standard-looking car out of all my designs, I quite liked the shape it presented. It gave the illusion of a buoy or a life vest, which I felt fit the aesthetic I was trying to achieve. As for the color, I originally wanted to make the vehicle orange to fit the coral reef theme I had in mind. However, the final illustration made the car feel too overpowering, so I went with a more subdued color palette. This is not to say the orange version cannot be used, as this could be an example of color variations offered.
