Project for my Design for Animators class
For our last project of the semester, we were given the task of creating a family band with either a complementary or analogous color scheme without lineart. There had to be a lineup of five members of the family with a pet animal in their normal and performance clothing. Then we were told to create an album cover with every member using their instruments. Lastly, we were told to create two pieces in the style of Eyvind Earle and Tyrus Wong to show our band on their way to a place to perform.
I decided to make an 80s-themed punk band with a blue and orange complementary color scheme. The pet lizard is an African Redhead Agamas, which matches this theme perfectly! It was a fun way to test my limits in Photoshop and understand the program, as I was more adjusted to using Procreate on my iPad at the time to illustrate. The process of making the family and watching them grow with each new assignment was really exciting, as I believe their personalities shine through their outfits and expressions.
